Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition

This course introduces the basic principles of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) used by
natural gas transmission companies. Common systems components, hardware solutions, and the
evolution of SCADA systems are covered, plus common trends and the present state of security.

  • GTA Web-Based Training
    o Communication and Protocols I
    o Communication and Protocols II
  • GTA Instructor-Led Training
    o Basic Instruments and Control Loops

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student will have received instruction designed to assist him/her in
the following:
